In Flying Lotus and Registers of Black Life and Death, Isabel Jean-Louis and I explore the music video for Flying Lotus’s Until the Quiet Comes. Released in 2012, the video doubles as a short film that depicts suspended states of being, dancing bodies, the forward and backward passages of time, play, innocence, and violence.
