A documentary produced as part of Precious Places, a long-running participatory media program sponsored by Philadelphia-based media arts organization, Scribe Video Center. The 102-year old Vare Recreation Center, a decaying landmark in the Gray’s Ferry neighborhood of South Philadelphia, is a beacon of youth programming for a community navigating its own unique challenges and triumphs. As a humanities consultant for Precious Places in 2019, I line produced this documentary.
